Dust off your dancing shoes...
I grew up watching Chinese historical dramas and loved the traditional dances in all the tv series. For years, I used the large window by the top of the stairs in my house as a mirror in order to dance to guzheng music during my study breaks. In college, I pursued this interest and joined Amber, a Chinese dance troupe at Cornell. However, during my my year abroad at Oxford University, I decided to get out of my comfort zone and try another dance style: ballroom dance. Immediately, I was captivated by the energy and technique of the sport and began competing collegiately the following year. After moving to Boston for medical/graduate school, I hope to continue my passion for ballroom alongside my academic career. Currently, I compete in rising star/open amateur ballroom and pre-champ latin.
